Atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) is one of the most common types of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia. The mechanism of AVNRT is reentry associated with dual atrioventricular (AV) nodal physiology, including fast and slow pathways. Radiofrequency catheter ablation of slow pathway has become the definitive treatment of choice for most symptomatic patients. Although familial Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome is known to have familial tendency, it is not determined whether AVNRT. We report a familial occurrence of atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia in a mother and her son.
