Background : Multidetector computed tomography(MDCT) is widely used for detecting coronary disease. However it has long been known that Coronary angiography(CAG) should be delay 72-hours after contrast media administration. The aim of this study was to compare incidence of CIN between receving PCI after MDCT within and without three-days. Methods : 470 patients who underwent PCI after MDCT within 72-hours and PCI after MDCT according to interval of 72-hours, were enrolled retrospectively from April 2008 to May 2011. The primary end point was the CIN. The definition of CIN is either a decrease of 25% from the baseline estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) or absolute increase in SCr ���0.5 mg/dL (44 關mol/l). Results : 328 patients received PCI 72 hours after MDCT and 142 patients underwent PCI 72 hours within MDCT. There was no significant difference in incidence of CIN(43 of 328 patients, 13.1% over 72hrs. vs 18 of 142, 12.7% within 72hrs, p=1.000). Hemoglobin(12.78 짹 1.70 g/dL non-CIN vs 12.08 짹 1.44 g/dL CIN, p=0.002), height(161.75 짹 9.25 cm vs 158.69 짹 9.56 cm, p=0.017), sex(33.5% vs 57.4%, p=0.001) creatinine(0.97 짹 0.27 mg/dL vs 0.75 짹 0.27 mg/dL, p=<0.001), modification of diet in renal disease(MDRD)-GFR(69.34 짹 24.30 mL/min/1.73m짼 vs 86.23 짹 24.57 mL/min/1.73m짼, p=<0.001) was associated to CIN. But Contrast amount(275.43 짹 128.32 cc vs 278.87 짹 130.73 cc, p=0.846), age(63.86 짹 9.83 years vs 65.13 짹 11.04 years, p=0.354), DM(30.1% vs 26.2%, p=0.652), HTN(52.3% vs 59.0%, p=0.342), hyperlipidemia(16.4% vs 18.0%, p=0.715), uric acid(5.47 짹 1.68 vs 5.10 짹 1.53, p=0.108) was not associated to CIN. Conclusion : There was no significant difference in incidence of CIN to compare with receving PCI after multidetector computed tomography(MDCT) within and over than 72hr.
